Tackifier Resins show good molecular compatibility with natural and synthetic Rubbers, as well as plastic polymers, depending on their suitable melting point.
Tackifier improves the homogeneity of the rubber mix and therefore can be used as a Rubber Softener, Plasticity Additive, Processing Aid and as a Tackifier in Multi Layer Rubber products like Tyres, Fenders Rubber Seals, Conveyors Belts and a host of rubber articles.
Rubber Vulcanisates compounded with Tackifier shows High Tensile Strength, good rebound, and hysteresis properties. Use of Tackifier along with Synthetic Rubber can be highly advantageous, especially where tenacious rubber compounds are required to be produced, for being plied for construction of tyres, fenders, conveyors, belts, etc.
Use of Tackifier, makes the processes of compounding/mixing easy, as it reduces mixing time, by reducing sticking of material to rolls and most importantly it promotes quick dispersion of Carbon Black and Fillers.
